Your doctor will decide the dose, strength, and frequency of the medicine based on your blood sugar levels and other factors. Take the tablet as prescribed by your doctor.
Dapagliflozin reduces glucose reabsorption and lowers the renal threshold for glucose. It works by removing excess sugar from your body via your urine and lowering the sugar in your blood. Metformin primarily decreases hepatic glucose production and decreases intestinal absorption of glucose. It works mainly by inhibiting glucose production in the liver.
DAPNAT M 10/1000 TABLET 10'S is used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults aged 18 years and older.
Both Dapagliflozin and Metformin can potentially contribute to weight loss in individuals with type 2 diabetes. Dapagliflozin can lead to a mild reduction in body weight by increasing urinary glucose excretion, while Metformin may help with modest weight loss by reducing appetite and improving insulin sensitivity.
The effects of Dapagliflozin and Metformin may vary from person to person. It may take several days to weeks to observe significant improvements in blood sugar control. It is important to continue taking the medication as prescribed and attend regular follow-up appointments with your healthcare provider.
There is no known interaction of DAPNAT M 10/1000 TABLET 10'S with other drugs.
To control your diabetes, you still need to keep to diet and exercise, even when you are taking this medicine. So it is important to keep following the advice about diet and exercise from your doctor. Avoid excessive alcohol while taking this medicine. If you take more tablets than you should, you may experience lactic acidosis. Symptoms of lactic acidosis include feeling or being very sick, vomiting, stomach ache, muscular cramps, severe tiredness or difficulty breathing. If you face any of these symptoms, stop taking this medicine immediately and contact a doctor or the nearest hospital.
