DASAZEST 20 TABLET 10'S contains the active ingredient Dasatinib. It is prescribed for adults and children above one year of age who are diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML). This medication is also used in the treatment of newly diagnosed Philadelphia chromosome-positive (Ph+) CML in the chronic phase, as well as Ph+ acute lymphoblastic leukemia in patients who have shown resistance to other treatment options. CML is a type of blood cancer characterized by an overproduction of white blood cells due to alterations in the Philadelphia chromosome. Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, frequently observed in children, involves the rapid multiplication and prolonged survival of lymphocytes, a type of white blood cell.
DASAZEST 20 TABLET 10'S works by targeting specific proteins within the leukemia cells, effectively inhibiting their growth and spread.
