No, FENZA CAPSULE 2'S is neither an antibiotic nor a steroid. It belongs to the imidazole class of antifungals. It is used to treat candidiasis (thrush) occurring in the vulva and vagina.
Yes, FENZA CAPSULE 2'S can damage condoms and diaphragms (barrier method of contraception), thereby affecting their efficacy. Therefore, instead of using these, you can use alternative methods of contraception such as contraceptive pills.
FENZA CAPSULE 2'S should be used strictly as per the doctor’s advice. The usual dose of FENZA CAPSULE 2'S is one applicator full in the morning and one applicator full in the evening for 3 days. Your symptoms may disappear quickly, but it is important that you continue using the cream for 3 days. Consult your doctor in case you have any confusion regarding the medicine, if your condition worsens or if there is no improvement.
Do not store FENZA CAPSULE 2'S above 30°C. Store in the original container. Do not use the medicine after the expiry date shown on the outer packaging. Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
FENZA CAPSULE 2'S can cause certain side effects in some people. Using FENZA CAPSULE 2'S may cause mild and transient rash or burning sensations that generally disappear rapidly. Additionally, using FENZA CAPSULE 2'S for prolonged periods of time may make you allergic to it.
FENZA CAPSULE 2'S does not affect sex life. However, do not have vaginal intercourse as long as you are using FENZA CAPSULE 2'S. Also, condoms and diaphragms may get damaged and may fail to prevent pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases.
FENZA CAPSULE 2'S can be used again if the candidal infection returns after 7 days. However, if the candidal infection recurs more than twice within six months, you should consult your doctor whether it is candidal infection or something else.
Do not start treatment with FENZA CAPSULE 2'S during menstruation as the cream will be washed off with blood flow. The treatment should be finished before the onset of menstruation. Do not use tampons, vaginal douches, spermicide or other vaginal products while using FENZA CAPSULE 2'S.
