  • LUPRODEX DEPOT 3.75MG INJECTION contains the active ingredient Leuprolide acetate. It belongs to a group of medicines called Gonadotropin Releasing Hormone (GnRH) agonists. Simply put, this medicine works by lowering the levels of certain hormones in your body, like testosterone in men and estrogen in women. This action makes it useful for treating several conditions that are affected by these hormones.
  • This injection is primarily used to treat prostate cancer in men. In women, it helps manage hormone-responsive breast cancer, endometriosis (where tissue similar to the womb lining grows outside the uterus, causing pain), and uterine fibroids (non-cancerous growths in the uterus). It's also used in children to treat central premature puberty, which is when physical signs of puberty start too early due to hormonal signals from the brain.
  • Do not receive LUPRODEX DEPOT 3.75MG INJECTION if you have a known allergy to Leuprolide acetate or any of its ingredients, including other similar medicines like Goserelin or Triptorelin.
