  • TAGRISSO 40MG TABLET 10'S contains the active medicine called Osimertinib. It belongs to a group of medicines known as protein kinase inhibitors, which are a type of targeted therapy for cancer. This medicine is used to treat a specific type of lung cancer in adults, called non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).
  • TAGRISSO is effective when tests have shown that your cancer has certain specific changes (mutations) in a gene called EGFR (epidermal growth factor receptor). These changes in the EGFR gene can make cancer cells grow and spread more easily. TAGRISSO works by blocking the signals sent by this changed EGFR gene, which helps to stop or slow down the cancer's growth.
  • Your doctor might prescribe TAGRISSO 40MG TABLET 10'S in several situations. It can be given after your lung cancer has been completely removed by surgery. This is called adjuvant treatment, and it's used to help reduce the chance of the cancer coming back, specifically in patients whose cancer had the EGFR gene changes.
