TAGRISSO 80MG TABLET 10'S contains Osimertinib. It's a medicine used to treat a type of lung cancer called non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).
How it works: Osimertinib is a targeted therapy. It works by blocking the action of certain proteins in the body that help cancer cells grow. Specifically, it targets changes (mutations) in a gene called EGFR (Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor). EGFR is a protein on the surface of cells that can tell them to grow and divide. In certain lung cancers, changes in the EGFR gene make this protein overly active, causing cancer cells to grow uncontrollably.
