TBIS 0.1% OINTMENT 30 GM is indicated to treat moderate to severe atopic dermatitis. Atopic Dermatitis is a skin condition where the immune system reacts excessively, leading to inflammation (itching, redness, and irritation).

Children below the age of 2 years and people who have experienced hypersensitivity to Tacrolimus or macrolide antibiotics should not use TBIS 0.1% OINTMENT 30 GM. TBIS 0.1% OINTMENT 30 GM 0.1% W/W is not recommended for children below the age of 16 years.

Drinking alcohol while on treatment with TBIS 0.1% OINTMENT 30 GM may lead to flushing, redness, and heat sensation in the face and skin. Hence, alcohol consumption is not recommended.

Inform your healthcare provider you are taking or have taken oral corticosteroids, immunosuppressants, moisturizers, or other cosmetics before starting treatment with TBIS 0.1% OINTMENT 30 GM. Ensure you don’t apply moisturizing lotions or creams within two hours of applying TBIS 0.1% OINTMENT 30 GM.

Avoid sun exposure, as TBIS 0.1% OINTMENT 30 GM makes your skin sensitive. Wear protective clothing and use an effective sunscreen to prevent skin damage from sun exposure. Do not go near smoke or flame after applying TBIS 0.1% OINTMENT 30 GM.

TBIS 0.1% OINTMENT 30 GM shows improvement on the skin within one week of application. Discuss alternative treatment with your healthcare provider if you do not notice any changes within two weeks of starting the treatment.

TBIS 0.1% OINTMENT 30 GM can interact with certain foods and beverages, particularly grapefruit and grapefruit juice, which may increase the levels of tacrolimus in the blood. Discussing dietary restrictions and potential interactions with your healthcare provider is important.

While using TBIS 0.1% OINTMENT 30 GM, avoid eating grapefruit or drinking grapefruit juice, and do not consume alcohol as it may cause flushing. Do not apply moisturizing creams or lotions within two hours of using the ointment. Consult your healthcare professional before getting any vaccinations, as this medicine might interfere with them.

Protect your skin from the sun by applying sunscreen with a good SPF and wearing protective clothing. Your doctor may recommend certain tests to monitor the treatment's effectiveness and potential side effects. Ensure you attend all your scheduled appointments.
