This binding prevents the transglycosylation and transpeptidation steps of peptidoglycan synthesis, inhibiting the cross-linking of peptidoglycan chains. As a result, the bacterial cell wall becomes defective and weak, leading to cell lysis and death. TICOCIN 200MG INJECTION has a bactericidal effect against susceptible bacteria and is particularly effective against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and other gram-positive pathogens.
