Pregnancy
UNSAFEAPIGY-2.5 TABLET 10'S is not recommended for pregnant women as it may cause fetal harm. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or planning for pregnancy during the treatment.
APIGY-2.5 TABLET 10'S is commonly used to prevent strokes and blood clots in people with atrial fibrillation, deep vein thrombosis, or pulmonary embolism.
There are no specific foods that need to be avoided while taking an APIGY-2.5 TABLET 10'S.
It is advised to avoid activities that may increase the risk of bleeding, such as contact sports, heavy lifting, or prolonged sitting or standing. Be careful when using sharp objects such as razors and knives.
The risk of bleeding with APIGY-2.5 TABLET 10'S therapy is influenced by several factors, including age, weight, kidney function, and the presence of other medical conditions.
It is a direct oral anticoagulant (DOAC) that works by inhibiting the activity of factor Xa, which is a protein involved in the blood clotting process. Specifically, this drug binds to the active site of factor Xa and blocks its ability to convert prothrombin to thrombin. This, in turn, prevents the formation of blood clots.
