About ARSENOX 1MG INJECTION

  • ARSENOX 1MG INJECTION contains arsenic trioxide as its active ingredient and belongs to the antineoplastics therapeutic class. It is prescribed for treating newly diagnosed low to intermediate-risk acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL), a type of bone cancer characterized by an overproduction of immature blood cells in the bone marrow. It is used in conjunction with other medications like tretinoin.
  • ARSENOX 1MG INJECTION is also indicated for patients with APL whose condition has either not responded to previous treatments or has worsened after treatment with other medications. The drug functions by inhibiting or slowing down the proliferation of cancer cells, thereby controlling the disease's progression.
  • Before using ARSENOX 1MG INJECTION, inform your doctor if you have any allergies to arsenic trioxide or any other components of the medication. Discuss any pre-existing kidney or liver conditions with your doctor. The common side effects associated with this medication include an increase or decrease in white blood cell count, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, liver toxicity, fever, chills, insomnia, facial and body swelling, breathing difficulties, rash, itching, sore throat, and dizziness.
