  • MIRCERA 75MCG/0.3ML INJECTION contains the active ingredient Recombinant human erythropoietin alfa, also known as epoetin alfa. It belongs to a group of medicines called erythropoiesis-stimulating agents, or ESAs. These medicines work by helping your bone marrow produce more red blood cells. MIRCERA 75MCG/0.3ML INJECTION is primarily used to treat anemia, a condition where you don't have enough red blood cells. This type of anemia is often linked to long-term kidney disease (also called chronic kidney disease or CKD). It's also used to treat anemia caused by certain cancer chemotherapy treatments or by treatment for HIV infection using a medicine called zidovudine.
  • Besides treating existing anemia, MIRCERA 75MCG/0.3ML INJECTION can also be used to reduce the need for red blood cell transfusions. This is for patients who are at high risk of losing a lot of blood during or after planned surgery or other medical procedures. By boosting your red blood cell count beforehand, it can help avoid needing a transfusion of donated blood.
  • It's very important that MIRCERA 75MCG/0.3ML INJECTION is not used if you are severely allergic or sensitive to the active ingredient or any other ingredients in the injection.
