About MISTAURIN CAPSULE 4'S

  • MISTAURIN CAPSULE 4'S contains the active ingredient midostaurin, an anti-cancer medication belonging to the tyrosine kinase inhibitor class. It is used in conjunction with chemotherapy to treat acute myeloid leukemia (AML) in adults who have a specific genetic mutation in the FLT3 gene. AML is a cancer originating in myeloid cells, a type of white blood cell, leading to their abnormal overproduction. Additionally, MISTAURIN CAPSULE 4'S is prescribed for adults with aggressive systemic mastocytosis (ASM), systemic mastocytosis with associated hematological neoplasm (SM-AHN), and mast cell leukemia (MCL). It works by targeting specific proteins involved in cancer cell growth, helping to slow down or stop the progression of the disease.
  • Do not take MISTAURIN CAPSULE 4'S if you have a known allergy to midostaurin or any other inactive ingredients in the capsule. Before commencing this medication, inform your healthcare provider about any existing infections, heart conditions, lung issues, or breathing difficulties. It is important to promptly report any symptoms such as fever, sore throat, mouth ulcers, cough (with or without mucus), chest pain, breathing difficulties, or swelling in any body part to your doctor.
