MONOVISC INJECTION contains Sodium Hyaluronate, a substance very similar to the natural fluid found in healthy joints. This special fluid helps your joints move smoothly by providing lubrication and acting like a cushion or shock absorber.
This medicine is specifically used to help relieve knee pain caused by osteoarthritis (OA). Osteoarthritis is a common condition where the cartilage in your knee wears down, leading to pain and stiffness. MONOVISC INJECTION is typically considered when other common treatments, such as simple pain medications or physical therapy, have not provided sufficient relief.
