CautionAB PHYLLINE SYRUP 100 ML should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of AB PHYLLINE SYRUP 100 ML may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
If you are taking birth control pills, dose of AB PHYLLINE SYRUP 100 ML need to be reduced as birth control pills may interfere with clearance of AB PHYLLINE SYRUP 100 ML, increasing its levels and chances of side effects.
AB PHYLLINE SYRUP 100 ML should be taken strictly as advised by the doctor. To avoid an upset stomach it should be taken with food.
One should take proper caution if you are taking furosemide along with AB PHYLLINE SYRUP 100 ML. This is because the combined use of these medicines may decrease the levels of potassium. Hence, regular monitoring of potassium levels is required.
AB PHYLLINE SYRUP 100 ML should be avoided in patients who are allergic to ambroxol, AB PHYLLINE SYRUP 100 ML, or theophylline. Along with that, patients suffering from low blood pressure, irregular heart beats or rhythm or history of heart attack, liver disease or kidney disorder should avoid taking AB PHYLLINE SYRUP 100 ML.
AB PHYLLINE SYRUP 100 ML comprises of theophylline-7 acetate and ambroxol which makes it effective in making the mucus more fluid and clearing the airways easily, thereby making breathing easier. This effect of AB PHYLLINE SYRUP 100 ML works as an added advantage over theophylline. Moreover, it also reduces the need for other medicine used to treat asthma, like salbutamol.
