About ABCIXIREL 10MG INJECTION

  • ABCIXIREL 10MG INJECTION contains the active medicine Abciximab. It is a type of medicine called a monoclonal antibody. This injection is used during heart treatment, often during or after procedures like angioplasty (which opens narrowed arteries). Its main job is to protect your arteries and stop dangerous blood clots from forming. It is specifically used for patients who have unstable angina (a severe type of chest pain) or who have recently had a mild heart attack. By preventing clots, it helps reduce the chance of having another heart attack or other serious heart problems later on. It works by blocking certain receptors on blood cells called platelets, which are involved in forming clots. This helps keep blood flowing smoothly.
  • It's very important not to use ABCIXIREL 10MG INJECTION if certain conditions apply to you. Do not use it if you are allergic to Abciximab or any other ingredient in the injection. Avoid this injection if you currently have active internal bleeding, or if you've had significant bleeding from your stomach, intestines, or urinary tract in the last six weeks. You should also not use it if you have had a stroke (cerebrovascular accident) in the past two years, or if you had a stroke that left you with significant long-term effects. Severe, uncontrolled high blood pressure, a history of blood vessel inflammation (vasculitis), or receiving a specific type of fluid called intravenous dextran before the percutaneous coronary intervention are also reasons not to use this injection. Please note that this medicine's safety and effectiveness in children are not known.
