  • ACCENTRIX 10MG/ML INJECTION contains the active substance called Ranibizumab. It's a special type of medicine called a VEGF-A antagonist. This means it works by blocking a protein in your body called VEGF-A, which is responsible for the growth of abnormal and leaky blood vessels in the eye. By blocking this protein, ACCENTRIX helps to stop these unwanted vessels from growing and causing damage or swelling, which leads to vision problems.
  • ACCENTRIX 10MG/ML INJECTION is used to treat adults who have vision problems caused by several eye conditions. One common use is for wet age-related macular degeneration (wet AMD). This is an ongoing condition that affects the central part of your vision, making it hard to see straight ahead and perform tasks like reading or driving. ACCENTRIX helps reduce the leakage from abnormal vessels in wet AMD, slowing down vision loss.
  • The injection is also used for other conditions where abnormal blood vessels grow or where there is swelling at the back of the eye. This includes myopic choroidal neovascularization (mCNV), which can happen in very near-sighted people.
