You should use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. It is best to use it at night time for better results.
Do not start treatment with AMFY GEL 30 GM during your periods as the cream will be washed off with blood flow. In such a case, consult your doctor who can prescribe you oral antifungals. Also, do not use tampons, spermicide or other vaginal products while using AMFY GEL 30 GM.
AMFY GEL 30 GM does not affect sex life. However, do not have vaginal intercourse as long as you are using this medicine. Also, barrier contraceptives (condoms, diaphragms) may get damaged if it comes in contact with AMFY GEL 30 GM and may fail to prevent pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases.
Symptoms of vaginal infection generally reduce within 2 to 4 weeks after use of AMFY GEL 30 GM. However, it is advisable to continue using it until the symptoms disappear or as long as prescribed by your doctor to avoid recurrence of the infection.
AMFY GEL 30 GM can be used again if the fungal infection returns after 7 days. However, if the infection recurs more than twice within six months, you should consult your doctor.
A vaginal fungal infection is diagnosed by your doctor. He/she may need to take a sample of discharge from your vagina to confirm the infection. The combination of your symptoms and the sample of the discharge will tell what type of fungal infection you have and help determine the best way to treat the infection.
You can prevent vaginal fungal infection by incorporating simple lifestyle tips such as wearing cotton undergarments, practicing good personal hygiene, keeping yourself dry and clean, and including probiotics or yogurt in your diet.
