How ARISTOZYME SYRUP 200 ML Works

• Fungal diastase catalyses the breakdown of starch into simpler sugars, such as maltose, easing the digestive burden when carbohydrate digestion is incomplete and reducing the bloating and gas that can result from undigested starch.
• Pepsin breaks down dietary protein into smaller peptides, supplementing the body's own pepsin, which is naturally produced in the stomach. Together, the two enzymes support digestion of two of the three main food components, helping to reduce the sense of fullness and discomfort that can follow a meal.

Nausea, heartburn, diarrhoea or constipation, and stomach upset or pain are the most commonly reported effects. An allergic reaction to either enzyme is uncommon but needs immediate medical attention if it occurs, including a rash, itching or swelling. Persistent or worsening digestive symptoms should be assessed by a doctor.

• If you miss a dose of Aristozyme Syrup, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not double the dose to make up for the missed one.

• Store the bottle in its original pack, in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat, and out of the reach of children. Do not use the syrup after the expiry date printed on the pack.

• Take the syrup after meals, using a calibrated measuring cup or spoon
• Use for short-term or occasional relief of indigestion, not as a long-term routine
• Maintain a balanced diet and stay well hydrated alongside its use
• Seek medical advice if digestive symptoms persist for more than about a week
• Tell the doctor about peptic ulcer disease, pancreatitis, or liver or kidney conditions before starting
• Consult a doctor before use during pregnancy or while breastfeeding

• Aristozyme is generally taken after meals so the enzymes can act on the food just eaten. A diet lower in fatty, fried or heavily processed foods can reduce the digestive discomfort this syrup is used for.
