How AVOMINE TABLET 10'S Works

• Promethazine blocks histamine H1 receptors and reduces activity in brain pathways involved in nausea and balance. This can reduce motion-related nausea and vomiting. Its action on the central nervous system can also cause marked drowsiness, slowed reactions and poor coordination.
• Promethazine also has anticholinergic effects. These can reduce saliva and affect vision, bowel movement and bladder emptying.

Promethazine can cause drowsiness, dizziness and impaired coordination. Dry mouth, blurred vision, constipation and difficulty passing urine can occur because of its anticholinergic action. Confusion, severe restlessness, fainting or an unusual heartbeat needs medical review. Alcohol and other sedating medicines can increase central nervous system depression.
