Generally well tolerated at the recommended dose. Uncommon: nausea, constipation, fatigue. With excessive intake or overdose (do not exceed the prescribed dose): loss of appetite, weight loss, excessive thirst, frequent urination, weakness, muscle aches. Serious (rare, usually from prolonged overuse) — seek medical attention: high blood calcium (hypercalcaemia), kidney stones, calcium deposits in soft tissues. Not recommended if you have high calcium levels or a history of kidney stones unless advised by a doctor.
Take it as directed by your doctor — typically the labelled dose once a week, not daily. Take it after a meal for better absorption; measure the liquid with the device provided. Do not take it more often than prescribed.
For deficiency, doctors usually prescribe one dose weekly for 6–8 weeks, sometimes followed by a lower maintenance dose. Your doctor decides the duration based on your Vitamin D blood levels.
No. 60000 IU is a high-strength dose meant for weekly use. Taking it daily can cause a dangerous build-up of Vitamin D and calcium. Always follow your doctor's schedule.
Mild deficiency often improves within 6–8 weeks, while severe deficiency may take 2–3 months. Bone pain and fatigue usually ease gradually as levels normalise.
People with high blood calcium, kidney stones, or certain kidney diseases should avoid it unless advised by a doctor. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or taking other calcium/Vitamin D supplements.
