  • CANDITRAL SB 130MG TABLET 10'S is an antifungal drug that contains the active ingredient Itraconazole, a triazole. It blocks the activity of an enzyme called cytochrome P450 14α-demethylase, which is essential for the production of ergosterol in fungal cell membranes. Without ergosterol, the cell membrane becomes weak, causing cellular content leakage and eventually, the death of the fungal cell. Itraconazole also hinders the production of other critical fungal cell components, including phospholipids and sphingolipids, which weakens the fungal cell membrane further. CANDITRAL SB 130MG TABLET 10'S is effective against a broad range of fungal pathogens, including yeasts, dermatophytes, and molds, exhibiting both fungistatic and fungicidal properties.
