About CASOCAN 50 INJECTION

  • CASOCAN 50 INJECTION is a medicine used to treat serious fungal infections. Its main ingredient is called Caspofungin Acetate. It's effective against various fungal infections, including serious blood infections caused by Candida (known as candidemia), fungal infections in the esophagus (esophageal candidiasis), other Candida infections throughout the body, and lung infections caused by Aspergillus (called aspergillosis).
  • Do not use CASOCAN 50 INJECTION if you are allergic to Caspofungin Acetate or any of its other ingredients. If you have or have had liver problems, make sure to tell your doctor. The dose of CASOCAN 50 INJECTION might need to be changed to ensure it's safe and effective for you.
  • If you are currently taking cyclosporin, a medication often used after organ transplants or for immune conditions, inform your healthcare provider. Taking CASOCAN 50 INJECTION with cyclosporin may require extra blood tests to monitor how your body is handling both medicines.
  • Avoid this medicine if you have severe liver problems or uncontrolled bleeding. It's also important to tell your doctor if you have an increased risk of bleeding or if you have recently received injections or infusions of blood thinners like heparin.
