How CIPLACTIN 4MG TABLET 15'S Works

• Cyproheptadine blocks histamine H1 receptors, which reduces the itching, swelling, sneezing and runny nose caused by an allergic reaction. It also blocks serotonin receptors, which is believed to contribute to its recognised effect of stimulating appetite.
• By increasing hunger and food intake, cyproheptadine can support weight gain in people whose appetite has been reduced by illness or poor eating habits, alongside its antihistamine effect on allergic symptoms.

Drowsiness, dizziness and headache are the most commonly reported effects. Dry mouth, constipation and impaired coordination have also been reported. A severe allergic reaction, such as facial swelling or breathing difficulty, needs immediate medical attention.

• Avoid alcohol during treatment, since it can increase drowsiness
• Take at the same time each day for the most predictable results
• Tell the prescriber about glaucoma, urinary difficulty, asthma or liver disease before starting
• Report any unusual weight change or persistent drowsiness to the prescriber

• Ciplactin can be taken with or without food. No other specific food interaction has been established.
