Allergies
UnsafeDo not take this medicine if you have a known allergy to any of its ingredients.
CNF Tablet is primarily used to relieve pain and muscle spasms associated with conditions like sprains, strains, muscle injuries, and other musculoskeletal disorders. It helps reduce pain, inflammation, and stiffness, allowing for better movement.
CNF Tablet typically contains a combination of Chlorzoxazone, Paracetamol (Acetaminophen), and Diclofenac Sodium. Chlorzoxazone is a muscle relaxant, Paracetamol is an analgesic and antipyretic, and Diclofenac Sodium is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID).
It is generally recommended to take CNF Tablet with food or milk to minimize stomach upset. Always follow your doctor's prescribed dosage and duration. Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet; swallow it whole.
Common side effects may include nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, dizziness, drowsiness, heartburn, and weakness. If any of these side effects persist or worsen, consult your doctor.
CNF Tablet may cause dizziness or drowsiness due to Chlorzoxazone. It is advisable to avoid driving or operating heavy machinery until you know how the medication affects you.
CNF Tablet is generally not recommended during pregnancy, especially in the last trimester, and during breastfeeding due to the presence of Diclofenac and Chlorzoxazone. Consult your doctor to assess the risks and benefits.
It is not recommended to consume alcohol while taking CNF Tablet as it can increase the risk of side effects like dizziness, drowsiness, and liver damage, especially due to Paracetamol and Diclofenac.
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it's almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not double the dose to make up for a missed one.
Store CNF Tablet at room temperature, away from direct light and moisture. Keep it out of reach of children and pets. Do not freeze the medicine.
In case of an overdose, seek immediate medical attention or contact a poison control center. Overdose symptoms may include severe drowsiness, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, or liver/kidney problems.
Patients with pre-existing kidney or liver conditions should use CNF Tablet with caution and only under strict medical supervision. The ingredients, especially Paracetamol and Diclofenac, can affect liver and kidney function. Your doctor may adjust the dosage or recommend alternatives.
The pain-relieving effects of CNF Tablet generally start within 30-60 minutes after taking the dose, though individual responses may vary. The muscle relaxant effect may also begin around the same time.
CNF Tablet is not known to be habit-forming. However, it should only be taken for the prescribed duration as long-term use of NSAIDs like Diclofenac can lead to certain side effects, especially related to the stomach and kidneys.
CNF Tablet, containing Chlorzoxazone, Paracetamol, and Diclofenac, has a similar pharmacological profile and uses to other brands that contain the same active ingredients. The choice between brands often depends on pricing, availability, and specific doctor's recommendations. Always consult your doctor for equivalent alternatives.
CNF Tablet should be used with caution in children and elderly patients. Dosage adjustments may be necessary for the elderly due to potential age-related organ impairment. For children, the safety and efficacy are not well-established for this specific combination, and it is usually not recommended. Always consult a pediatrician or geriatrician.
