How CRANPAC D TABLET 10'S Works

• Cranberry extract's proanthocyanidins interfere with the finger-like structures, called fimbriae, that E. coli bacteria use to attach to the cells lining the urinary tract. By reducing this attachment, more bacteria are flushed out with normal urination and are less able to establish an infection.
• D-mannose works by a related mechanism. It binds directly to the same bacterial fimbriae, acting as a decoy that occupies the site the bacteria would otherwise use to attach to the bladder wall, and is cleared from the body in the urine along with the bacteria bound to it.

An upset stomach, loose stools, nausea and headache are the most commonly reported effects, mainly related to the D-mannose content. Cranberry extract can increase the risk of kidney stone formation in people prone to them, due to its oxalate content. An allergic reaction to any ingredient is uncommon but needs immediate medical attention if it occurs. Persistent gastrointestinal symptoms should be reported to a doctor.

• If you miss a dose of CRANPAC D TABLET 10'S, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not double the dose to catch up.

• Store the tablets in their original pack, out of the reach of children and pets. Keep them at room temperature. Do not use the tablets after the expiry date printed on the pack.

• Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water
• Maintain good fluid intake throughout the day
• This supplement supports prevention; it does not treat an active, symptomatic urinary tract infection
• Seek prompt medical care for burning urination, urgency, fever, flank pain or blood in the urine
• Tell the doctor about a history of kidney stones, diabetes, or use of anticoagulant medicines before starting
• Discuss use during pregnancy or while breastfeeding with a doctor first

• Cranpac D can generally be taken with or without food. Maintaining good hydration supports its intended action, and there is no specific food known to interfere with it.
