About CUTENOX-G 300MG/3ML INJECTION

  • CUTENOX-G 300MG/3ML INJECTION is an anticoagulant drug belonging to the category of low molecular weight heparin (LMWH). It contains the active ingredient Enoxaparin. It is used to treat severe blood clots, preventing them from growing larger and causing further complications. This drug also prevents the occurrence of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a condition where blood clots form in the deep veins, often in the legs, particularly in situations like abdominal surgery, hip replacement surgery, knee replacement surgery, and in people with severe movement restrictions. Additionally, this injection helps prevent further heart complications in patients with unstable angina (chest pain) and non-Q wave myocardial infarction (a type of heart attack).
  • CUTENOX-G 300MG/3ML INJECTION works by inhibiting certain clotting factors in the blood, making it less likely for clots to form. Its low molecular weight allows for more predictable and consistent anticoagulation compared to unfractionated heparin. This makes it easier to manage and monitor the treatment. The medication is typically administered via subcutaneous injection, usually in the abdomen.
  • CUTENOX-G 300MG/3ML INJECTION is not recommended for patients with active bleeding, hypersensitivity or allergic reaction to enoxaparin or any of the other ingredients in the formulation, and a history of heparin-induced thrombocytopenia (HIT), a severe condition where heparin causes a drop in platelet count. Before taking CUTENOX-G 300MG/3ML INJECTION, inform your physician if you have any allergies, especially to enoxaparin sodium, heparin, benzyl alcohol, or pork products. Your healthcare provider will regularly monitor you for signs of bleeding. Inform your healthcare practitioner if you are diagnosed with kidney problems or any other medical conditions that may increase the risk of bleeding. It is not recommended for use in children and adolescents below 18 years due to a lack of sufficient safety and efficacy data. It is also not recommended to use CUTENOX-G 300MG/3ML INJECTION if you undergo procedures like neuraxial anaesthesia or spinal puncture, as it may increase the risk of spinal or epidural hematoma, which can cause paralysis. Close monitoring is recommended for older adults and patients with low weight, as they may be at an increased risk of bleeding.
  • Tell your physician if you suspect you are pregnant, are breastfeeding, or are planning to have a baby. CUTENOX-G 300MG/3ML INJECTION may increase the chance of bleeding in pregnant women, and hence close monitoring is essential. The benefits and risks of using this medication during pregnancy should be carefully discussed with your doctor. Consult your doctor for more advice. Before starting enoxaparin sodium medication, it is recommended not to take any hemostatic drugs (medications that promote blood clotting) unless absolutely necessary. It is necessary to inform your physician about all the drugs you are taking, including prescription medications, over-the-counter drugs, herbal remedies, and vitamin supplements, as they may interact with enoxaparin sodium and affect its efficacy or increase the risk of side effects.

Benefits of CUTENOX-G 300MG/3ML INJECTIONArrow

  • CUTENOX-G 300MG/3ML INJECTION is a medication that works by attaching itself to antithrombin, a naturally occurring protein in the body. This attachment leads to the formation of a complex that plays a crucial role in preventing the formation of dangerous blood clots. Antithrombin's primary function is to inhibit the activity of various clotting factors, with a particular focus on factor Xa. By selectively blocking the activation of factor Xa, CUTENOX-G 300MG/3ML INJECTION effectively disrupts the coagulation cascade, the complex series of events that lead to clot formation.
  • This targeted action helps to prevent the excessive or inappropriate formation of blood clots, which can lead to serious health complications. CUTENOX-G 300MG/3ML INJECTION is frequently prescribed for both the prevention and treatment of medical conditions where there is an elevated risk of developing blood clots. These conditions can include deep vein thrombosis (DVT), pulmonary embolism (PE), and certain types of heart conditions.
  • By reducing the risk of clot formation, CUTENOX-G 300MG/3ML INJECTION helps to protect against potentially life-threatening events such as stroke, heart attack, and organ damage. The medication's mechanism of action makes it a valuable tool in managing and preventing thromboembolic disorders, ensuring better health outcomes for patients at risk.

How to use CUTENOX-G 300MG/3ML INJECTIONArrow

  • CUTENOX-G 300MG/3ML INJECTION is administered by a qualified healthcare professional in a hospital environment. It is typically given as an intravenous injection directly into a vein, ensuring precise delivery and optimal absorption. The administration process involves careful monitoring and adherence to strict medical protocols to minimize any potential risks.
  • The exact dosage, method of administration (intravenous), and frequency of injections are determined by your doctor. These factors are carefully considered based on your specific medical condition, its severity, your overall health status, and how you respond to the treatment. Regular assessments and adjustments may be necessary throughout your treatment course.
  • It is crucial to follow your doctor's instructions precisely regarding the administration of CUTENOX-G 300MG/3ML INJECTION. Do not attempt to self-administer this medication. The healthcare professional will ensure the correct dosage and technique are used, maximizing the benefits and minimizing potential complications. If you have any questions or concerns about the injection process, do not hesitate to ask your doctor or nurse for clarification.
