About DACSTED 200 INJECTION

  • DACSTED 200 INJECTION contains dacarbazine as an active ingredient, an antineoplastic drug belonging to the class of alkylating agents. It plays a crucial role in the prevention and treatment of metastatic malignant melanoma (skin cancer) and Hodgkin's disease, a cancer affecting the lymph system, a vital part of the immune system.
  • Often, it is used in combination with cisplatin, a cytotoxic agent, particularly in treating certain types of cancers like Hodgkin's lymphoma. Additionally, DACSTED 200 INJECTION can be combined with temozolomide for treating melanoma. Women of childbearing age must use effective contraception during and for at least 6 months following treatment with DACSTED 200 INJECTION.
