About DECITAMYL 50MG INJECTION

DECITAMYL 50MG INJECTION contains the active ingredient decitabine, classified as an antineoplastic drug. It belongs to the class of DNA methylation inhibitors and is primarily used to treat myelodysplastic syndrome, a condition where the bone marrow produces irregular and insufficiently healthy blood cells. DECITAMYL 50MG INJECTION is also effective against acute myeloid leukemia (AML), a type of cancer. It works by inhibiting the growth of cancer cells.
Avoid using this injection if you're allergic to any of its ingredients. Before starting treatment, inform your doctor about any existing infections, low blood cell counts, liver, kidney or heart issues. This medicine isn't recommended for individuals under 18. Be aware of a serious immune reaction called differentiation syndrome; symptoms include sudden difficulty in breathing, cough, fever, or body swelling, which must be promptly reported to your doctor.
DECITAMYL 50MG INJECTION is contraindicated for pregnant or breastfeeding women. If you're pregnant or nursing, you should notify your physician. To prevent pregnancy during treatment, employ effective contraception. Common side effects may include reduced counts of white and red blood cells and platelets, alongside an increased body temperature.
