How DIAVIT PLUS CAPSULE 10'S Works

• Alpha lipoic acid is an antioxidant that helps protect cells from oxidative stress, a process thought to contribute to some of the long-term complications associated with diabetes, including nerve-related symptoms. Chromium is a trace mineral involved in supporting the normal action of insulin on glucose metabolism.
• Methylcobalamin (vitamin B12) supports normal nerve function and red blood cell formation. Zinc, manganese, copper and selenium are trace minerals that support enzyme function and antioxidant defence, while calcium phosphate and magnesium support bone and muscle function. Beta-carotene is a precursor the body can convert to vitamin A, supporting vision and immune function.

Nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, constipation, stomach upset and abdominal cramps are the most commonly reported effects, particularly if the capsule is taken on an empty stomach. An allergic reaction to any ingredient is uncommon but needs immediate medical attention if it occurs. A change in urine colour can occur and is generally harmless, but persistent or severe gastrointestinal symptoms should be reported to a doctor.

• If you miss a dose of DIAVIT PLUS CAPSULE 10'S, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not double the dose to catch up.

• Store the capsules in their original pack, in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat, and out of the reach of children. Do not use the capsules after the expiry date printed on the pack.

• Take the capsule with a meal to improve absorption and reduce stomach upset
• Do not start this supplement alongside diabetes medicines without medical supervision
• Avoid combining with other multivitamin or mineral products without checking the total daily amount
• Tell the doctor about kidney or liver disease before starting
• Seek medical advice for persistent gastrointestinal symptoms or any unusual reaction
• Consult a doctor before use during pregnancy or while breastfeeding

• Diavit Plus is generally taken with a meal to improve absorption and reduce the chance of stomach upset. There is no other specific food interaction established for this supplement.
