DISPERZYME TABLET 10'S is prescribed for various ailments related to Gastroenterology.
DISPERZYME TABLET 10'S is prescribed for various ailments related to Rheumatology.
Disperzyme tablet is generally used as an adjunct treatment to reduce inflammation, swelling, and pain associated with soft-tissue injuries, sprains, strains, post-operative edema, dental procedures, and certain ENT or musculoskeletal conditions. It contains proteolytic enzymes that help break down inflammatory proteins and by-products, which may support faster recovery and improved mobility. It is not a primary treatment for infections or fractures and should be used only under medical supervision.
Disperzyme typically contains proteolytic enzymes that act on inflammatory proteins and fibrin deposits at the site of injury or inflammation. By breaking down these protein complexes, the enzymes may help reduce tissue edema, improve microcirculation, and facilitate the removal of inflammatory debris. This can lead to decreased swelling and discomfort and may support the body’s natural healing processes. The exact mechanism and onset of action can vary with the specific enzyme combination and dose prescribed by the doctor.
Disperzyme is not a treatment for liver disease and should not be used with the intention of improving liver function. In fact, people with pre-existing liver problems should use Disperzyme cautiously and only if a doctor specifically recommends it, because impaired liver function can alter the way medicines and enzymes are processed in the body. If you have hepatitis, cirrhosis, fatty liver, or abnormal liver tests, inform your healthcare provider before starting Disperzyme so they can assess risks and monitor you appropriately.
Patients with kidney disease should use Disperzyme only under medical supervision. The kidneys play an important role in clearing many substances from the body, and impaired kidney function may change the way enzyme-based medicines are handled. Your doctor will consider the severity of your kidney impairment, other medicines you are taking, and your overall health before deciding whether Disperzyme is appropriate. Do not start or continue this medicine without discussing it with your nephrologist or primary physician if you have chronic kidney disease or reduced kidney function.
Safety data for Disperzyme and similar enzyme combinations in pregnancy are limited. Therefore, it should not be used during pregnancy unless a doctor clearly considers it necessary and the potential benefits outweigh the possible risks. If you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or think you might be pregnant, inform your healthcare provider before taking Disperzyme. Never self-medicate with this tablet in pregnancy for pain or swelling; your doctor may suggest safer, better-studied alternatives.
Information on the excretion of the enzymes in Disperzyme into breast milk and their effects on a nursing infant is limited. For this reason, Disperzyme should be used with caution during breastfeeding and only if prescribed by a doctor who has evaluated your specific situation. If your doctor decides that you can take it while breastfeeding, they may advise monitoring the baby for any unusual symptoms such as diarrhea, rash, or irritability. Do not start or continue this medicine without medical advice if you are lactating.
Disperzyme is not commonly associated with drowsiness or impaired alertness, and many people can drive or operate machinery while taking it. However, some individuals may experience side effects such as dizziness, headache, or general discomfort, which could affect concentration and reaction time. When you first start the medicine, observe how you feel before engaging in activities that require full attention. If you notice dizziness, blurred vision, or any symptom that could interfere with safe driving, avoid such activities and consult your doctor.
There is no well-established direct interaction between moderate alcohol intake and Disperzyme, but combining alcohol with any medicine can increase the risk of stomach irritation, liver strain, and unpredictable side effects. Alcohol itself can worsen inflammation, delay healing, and interfere with sleep and recovery. It is generally advisable to limit or avoid alcohol while taking Disperzyme, especially if you have liver disease, gastritis, ulcers, or are on other medications. Always follow your doctor’s advice regarding alcohol use during treatment.
If you have a history of allergies to medicines, foods, or enzyme preparations, inform your doctor before starting Disperzyme. Some enzyme components may be derived from animal or plant sources, and individuals sensitive to these sources could be at higher risk of allergic reactions. Symptoms of an allergy may include rash, itching, swelling of the face or throat, difficulty breathing, or severe dizziness. If any of these occur after taking Disperzyme, stop the medicine immediately and seek emergency medical care. Do not restart it unless your doctor confirms it is safe.
Disperzyme may interact with certain medicines, particularly those that affect blood clotting, such as anticoagulants or antiplatelet drugs, and possibly with some anti-inflammatory or pain medicines. Because proteolytic enzymes can theoretically influence bleeding risk or the way other drugs are absorbed, it is important to inform your doctor and pharmacist about all prescription medicines, over-the-counter products, and herbal supplements you are using. Your doctor will decide whether any adjustments or monitoring are needed and whether Disperzyme is appropriate in your specific combination of therapies.
The exact dose and duration of Disperzyme therapy vary depending on the specific brand, the enzyme strengths in the formulation, the condition being treated, and your individual health status. Because of this variability, it is not possible to state a single standard dose that would be accurate or safe for everyone. You must follow the prescription provided by your doctor or the instructions on the product label as advised by a healthcare professional. Do not increase, decrease, or prolong the use of Disperzyme on your own, and do not use it as a substitute for other prescribed treatments.
