About EPOCEPT 4000 INJECTION

  • EPOCEPT 4000 INJECTION consists of active ingredients like Recombinant human erythropoietin alfa/epoetin alfa, a part of the erythropoiesis-stimulating agents class. It addresses anemia caused by chronic kidney disease, cancer treatment chemotherapy, or HIV treatment using zidovudine. It also minimizes the need for red blood cell transfusions in patients with high blood loss risk due to scheduled surgery or various procedures. Patients should discuss its risks and benefits thoroughly with their doctor.
  • EPOCEPT 4000 INJECTION is not recommended for patients allergic to it or its components. Conditions like uncontrolled hypertension, active thrombotic microangiopathy, and pure red cell aplasia preclude its usage. Caution is advised for patients with a history of blood clots, heart, liver, or kidney disease, stroke, thalassemia, sickle cell, myelodysplastic syndrome, leukemia, or cancer. Younger patients under 18 should only use it if benefits surpass the risks. Older adults require close monitoring for side effects. It is also not advisable during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
