How ETAZYME TABLET 15'S Works

• Fungal diastase breaks down complex carbohydrates into simpler sugars, and papain breaks down proteins into smaller peptides, together supporting the digestion of a meal that would otherwise ferment and produce excess gas.
• Activated charcoal has a large surface area that adsorbs gas and certain waste products already present in the gut, which is thought to help relieve the bloating and discomfort associated with indigestion.
• Because the enzymes act on the food itself while the charcoal acts on gas already formed, the combination is intended to address both the cause and the immediate symptom of a heavy or difficult-to-digest meal. The tablet does not affect the underlying rate of stomach emptying or acid production, so it is not expected to relieve symptoms caused primarily by excess stomach acid.

Mild stomach upset and constipation are the most commonly reported effects. Since activated charcoal is present, stools may appear darker than usual, which is harmless. An allergic reaction to any ingredient is uncommon but needs immediate medical attention if it occurs, including a rash, itching or swelling.

• If you miss a dose of ETAZYME TABLET 15'S, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it's almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not double the dose to catch up.

• Store the tablets in their original pack, at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture, and out of the reach of children. Do not use the tablets after the expiry date printed on the pack.

• Take the tablet after meals, not on an empty stomach
• Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew it
• Space other medicines a few hours apart from this tablet, since charcoal can reduce their absorption
• Store in a cool, dry place away from moisture
• Seek medical advice if digestive symptoms persist beyond a few days
• Consult a doctor before use during pregnancy or while breastfeeding
