No, FENTIGLIV 600MG VAGINAL CAPSULE 1'S is neither an antibiotic nor a steroid. It belongs to the imidazole class of antifungals. It is used to treat candidiasis (thrush) occurring in the vulva and vagina.
Yes, FENTIGLIV 600MG VAGINAL CAPSULE 1'S can damage condoms and diaphragms (barrier method of contraception), thereby affecting their efficacy. Therefore, instead of using these, you can use alternative methods of contraception such as contraceptive pills.
FENTIGLIV 600MG VAGINAL CAPSULE 1'S should be used strictly as per the doctor’s advice. The usual dose of FENTIGLIV 600MG VAGINAL CAPSULE 1'S is one applicator full in the morning and one applicator full in the evening for 3 days. Your symptoms may disappear quickly, but it is important that you continue using the cream for 3 days. Consult your doctor in case you have any confusion regarding the medicine, if your condition worsens or if there is no improvement.
Do not store FENTIGLIV 600MG VAGINAL CAPSULE 1'S above 30°C. Store in the original container. Do not use the medicine after the expiry date shown on the outer packaging. Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
FENTIGLIV 600MG VAGINAL CAPSULE 1'S can cause certain side effects in some people. Using FENTIGLIV 600MG VAGINAL CAPSULE 1'S may cause mild and transient rash or burning sensations that generally disappear rapidly. Additionally, using FENTIGLIV 600MG VAGINAL CAPSULE 1'S for prolonged periods of time may make you allergic to it.
FENTIGLIV 600MG VAGINAL CAPSULE 1'S does not affect sex life. However, do not have vaginal intercourse as long as you are using FENTIGLIV 600MG VAGINAL CAPSULE 1'S. Also, condoms and diaphragms may get damaged and may fail to prevent pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases.
FENTIGLIV 600MG VAGINAL CAPSULE 1'S can be used again if the candidal infection returns after 7 days. However, if the candidal infection recurs more than twice within six months, you should consult your doctor whether it is candidal infection or something else.
Do not start treatment with FENTIGLIV 600MG VAGINAL CAPSULE 1'S during menstruation as the cream will be washed off with blood flow. The treatment should be finished before the onset of menstruation. Do not use tampons, vaginal douches, spermicide or other vaginal products while using FENTIGLIV 600MG VAGINAL CAPSULE 1'S.
