About FERIUM 500MG INJECTION 10 ML
- FERIUM 500MG INJECTION 10 ML contains the active ingredient called Ferric carboxymaltose. It belongs to a group of medicines known as iron replacement products. Your body needs iron to make healthy red blood cells, which carry oxygen. This injection is used to treat a condition called iron-deficiency anemia. This happens when you don't have enough iron, leading to fewer red blood cells. It's typically used for adults and children aged one year and older when iron supplements taken by mouth haven't worked well or can't be taken for some reason. It is also prescribed for adults who have ongoing kidney problems (chronic kidney disease) but are not undergoing dialysis treatment. FERIUM 500MG INJECTION 10 ML is not suitable for infants less than one year old.
