Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them.

Allergies
Contraindicated in known hypersensitivityDo not use fudic cream if you have a known allergy to fusidic acid, fusidate salts, or any of the excipients in the formulation.
FUDIC CREAM 5 GM is neither an antifungal nor a steroid. It is an antibiotic that is effective against bacteria. It is used to treat bacterial infections of the skin like impetigo (a weeping, crusty and swollen patch of skin), infected cuts and grazes, and infected dermatitis (skin becomes red, slightly swollen, and painful due to infection).
Use the FUDIC CREAM 5 GM for the time advised by your doctor. The treatment with FUDIC CREAM 5 GM usually stretches for 1-2 weeks although it can be longer in some cases.
FUDIC CREAM 5 GM is meant to be applied only on the skin. Always wash your hands before applying the medicine. Unless you are using the cream to treat your hands, always wash your hands after using FUDIC CREAM 5 GM. Do not insert it into your body or swallow it. If it accidentally enters your eyes, wash your eyes thoroughly with water. If irritation persists, contact your doctor immediately.
Sometimes the bacteria get modified in your body and the medicine stops working. This is called drug resistance. Extended or recurrent use of medicine may increase the risk of developing resistance to that medicine. Your body may develop resistance for FUDIC CREAM 5 GM too. Therefore, to prevent drug resistance, you should use FUDIC CREAM 5 GM in the right amount and for the duration recommended by the doctor.
If you develop a severe allergic reaction after using FUDIC CREAM 5 GM, wash the area thoroughly and do not use the medicine again. The symptoms of an allergic reaction include a severe rash, difficulty in breathing, stinging or burning in the eye which does not go away, and swelling of the face (especially around the eyes or eyelids). You should immediately seek the medical support of your doctor or go to a nearby hospital.

Fudic cream is a topical antibiotic used to treat certain bacterial skin infections caused by susceptible organisms, especially Staphylococcus species. It may be prescribed for conditions such as impetigo, infected eczema, folliculitis, and minor infected wounds or abrasions. It is not effective against viral or fungal infections and should only be used under medical supervision.
Fudic cream contains fusidic acid or its sodium salt, which inhibits bacterial protein synthesis. By blocking the production of essential proteins, it stops bacteria from growing and multiplying, allowing the body’s immune system to clear the infection. Because it is applied directly to the skin, it acts mainly at the site of infection with limited systemic absorption in most patients.
Use fudic cream exactly as directed by your doctor or as stated on the product label. Typically, a thin layer is gently applied to the affected area of clean, dry skin. Avoid rubbing vigorously, and wash your hands after application unless your hands are the area being treated. Do not cover the area with airtight or occlusive dressings unless your doctor specifically advises this. Do not change the frequency or duration of use without medical advice.
Limited data suggest that systemic absorption of fusidic acid from topical use is generally low when applied to intact skin, and no major pregnancy-related problems have been clearly established. However, safety in pregnancy is not fully confirmed. Fudic cream should only be used during pregnancy if the potential benefit justifies any possible risk, and always under the guidance of a doctor or obstetrician. Avoid prolonged use on large areas or broken skin unless specifically recommended.
When used topically on small areas of intact skin, systemic absorption of fusidic acid is usually low, and the amount expected to pass into breast milk is likely minimal. Fudic cream may be used during breastfeeding if prescribed by a healthcare professional, but it should not be applied directly to the nipples or breast area where the infant could ingest it. If treatment of the breast is necessary, follow your doctor’s instructions carefully, and clean the area thoroughly before feeding.
There is no well-documented direct interaction between topical fudic cream and moderate alcohol consumption, because systemic absorption from the skin is usually low. However, if you have underlying liver disease, are taking other medicines that affect the liver, or are using large amounts of the cream on damaged skin, you should discuss alcohol use with your doctor. In general, responsible alcohol intake is unlikely to be affected solely by topical use, but individual medical advice is important.
Because fudic cream is applied to the skin, systemic absorption is usually limited, so significant effects on the liver or kidneys are uncommon in people with intact skin and small treatment areas. However, in patients with severe liver or kidney impairment, or when the cream is used on large or damaged areas, some absorption may occur. Such patients should use fudic cream only under close medical supervision, and any unusual symptoms should be reported promptly to a healthcare professional.
Topical fudic cream is not known to impair alertness, coordination, or vision, and it is not expected to affect your ability to drive or operate machinery when used as directed. If you experience unexpected side effects such as dizziness, visual disturbances, or severe allergic reactions, you should avoid driving or using machines and seek medical advice immediately.
Do not use fudic cream if you have a known allergy to fusidic acid, fusidate salts, or any of the excipients in the cream base. Signs of an allergic reaction may include intense itching, redness, swelling, blistering, rash, or difficulty breathing. If any of these occur, stop using the cream immediately, wash the area with water, and seek urgent medical attention. Inform your doctor and pharmacist about this allergy so they can avoid prescribing related products in the future.
Fudic cream is sometimes prescribed for children to treat specific bacterial skin infections, but its use and duration should always be determined by a pediatrician or qualified healthcare professional. Children may be more sensitive to medicines applied over large skin areas, especially if the skin is damaged. Caregivers should follow the prescribed instructions carefully and avoid using the cream for longer than recommended or for conditions that have not been evaluated by a doctor.
Common side effects are usually mild and localized to the application site. They may include burning, stinging, itching, redness, dryness, or mild irritation. Less commonly, contact dermatitis or allergic reactions can occur. If side effects are severe, spread beyond the treated area, or do not improve after stopping the cream, consult your doctor. Serious systemic side effects are rare with topical use but may be more likely if large areas or damaged skin are treated for prolonged periods.
