Like all medicines, Glimet DS Tablet can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. **Common Side Effects:** * Nausea * Vomiting * Diarrhea * Abdominal pain * Loss of appetite * Metallic taste * Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) - symptoms may include sweating, trembling, anxiety, rapid heartbeat, dizziness, hunger, blurred vision, headache, weakness. **Uncommon Side Effects:** * Skin rash * Itching * Urticaria (hives) * Abnormal liver function tests * Vitamin B12 deficiency - symptoms may include fatigue, weakness, pale skin, shortness of breath, numbness or tingling in the hands and feet, mood changes, and difficulty concentrating. **Rare Side Effects:** * Lactic acidosis - symptoms may include feeling very weak or tired, unusual muscle pain, trouble breathing, stomach pain with nausea and vomiting, feeling cold, dizziness or lightheadedness, and a slow or irregular heartbeat. This is a medical emergency. * Changes in blood cell counts (e.g., leukopenia, thrombocytopenia) * Cholestatic liver injury **Very Rare Side Effects:** * Severe allergic reactions (anaphylaxis) **If you experience any side effects, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
