Symptoms include sweating, shakiness, anxiety, rapid heartbeat, hunger, headache, blurred vision, and confusion. Severe hypoglycemia can lead to loss of consciousness and seizures. * Gastrointestinal Disturbances: Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, abdominal pain, and dyspepsia (indigestion) may occur. **Uncommon Side Effects (may affect up to 1 in 100 people):** * Visual Disturbances: Temporary visual disturbances may occur, especially at the start of treatment, due to changes in blood sugar levels. * Elevated Liver Enzymes: Liver function tests may show increased levels of liver enzymes. * Skin Reactions: Rash, itching, hives (urticaria). **Rare Side Effects (may affect up to 1 in 1,000 people):** * Blood Disorders: Decreased blood cell counts (e.g., thrombocytopenia, leukopenia, anemia). These can cause increased risk of bleeding, infections, and fatigue. * Severe Skin Reactions: Severe allergic skin reactions such as Stevens-Johnson syndrome (SJS) or toxic epidermal necrolysis (TEN) can occur. GLIZID TOTAL P 7.5MG TABLET 10'S is used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus when diet and exercise alone are not enough to control blood sugar levels.
GLIZID TOTAL P 7.5MG TABLET 10'S is a combination of two medicines: Gliclazide and Pioglitazone. Gliclazide belongs to the sulfonylurea class which works by increasing the release of insulin from the pancreas. Pioglitazone belongs to the thiazolidinedione class which works by increasing insulin sensitivity.
