IBUGESIC PLUS SUSPENSION 60 ML, like other medications, can cause side effects, although not everyone experiences them. Common side effects may include nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, heartburn, diarrhea, constipation, and indigestion. Some individuals might experience dizziness, drowsiness, headache, or blurred vision. Less common but potentially serious side effects could involve allergic reactions (rash, itching, swelling), difficulty breathing, high blood pressure, liver problems (yellowing of skin/eyes), kidney problems (changes in urine output), or signs of bleeding (bloody/black stools, unusual bruising). In rare cases, IBUGESIC PLUS SUSPENSION 60 ML can lead to more severe issues such as stomach ulcers, gastrointestinal bleeding, or heart problems. If you experience any persistent or worsening side effects, or if you notice signs of a serious allergic reaction or other concerning symptoms, discontinue use and seek immediate medical attention. This is not an exhaustive list, and it's crucial to consult the product leaflet or a healthcare professional for a complete understanding of potential side effects and their management. Long-term use may increase the risk of certain side effects.

Gastrointestinal (Stomach and Intestines)
Use with cautionIbuprofen can irritate the stomach lining and, in some cases, contribute to gastritis, stomach pain, or, rarely, ulcers and gastrointestinal bleeding, especially with high doses or prolonged use.

IBUGESIC PLUS SUSPENSION 60 ML can interact with certain medications. Inform your doctor about all the medications you are taking.
IBUGESIC PLUS SUSPENSION 60 ML is safe for children when used as directed by a doctor.
IBUGESIC PLUS SUSPENSION 60 ML contains Ibuprofen and Paracetamol.
Overdosing on IBUGESIC PLUS SUSPENSION 60 ML can cause serious health problems. Always follow the dosage prescribed by the doctor.
IBUGESIC PLUS SUSPENSION 60 ML can be given on an empty stomach, but it may increase the risk of stomach upset.
If a dose is missed, give it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and follow the regular dosing schedule.
Long-term use of IBUGESIC PLUS SUSPENSION 60 ML should not be done without consulting a doctor.
Using Ibugesic Plus Suspension 60 ml with other paracetamol products can lead to an overdose of paracetamol, which can be dangerous. Consult a doctor before using any combination.
In rare cases, Ibugesic Plus Suspension 60 ml can cause allergic reactions in some individuals. Seek immediate medical attention if you notice any symptoms of an allergic reaction.
If your child vomits within 30 minutes of taking the dose, you can repeat the dose. If the vomiting occurs after 30 minutes, do not repeat the dose.
Ibugesic Plus syrup is generally used for short‑term relief of mild to moderate pain and fever in children. Typical indications include fever due to viral or bacterial infections, post‑vaccination fever, headache, sore throat, ear pain, toothache, teething‑related discomfort (if age‑appropriate), and pain from minor injuries or sprains. It provides symptomatic relief only and does not treat the underlying cause of the illness.
Ibugesic Plus syrup usually contains two active ingredients: ibuprofen and paracetamol. Ibuprofen is a non‑steroidal anti‑inflammatory drug (NSAID) that reduces the production of prostaglandins, substances responsible for pain, inflammation, and fever. Paracetamol acts mainly in the central nervous system to lower the body’s temperature set‑point and relieve pain. Together, they help reduce fever and provide broader pain relief than either medicine alone when used correctly.
Ibugesic Plus syrup is often prescribed for children, but because it combines two active ingredients, it should ideally be used under medical supervision, especially in infants and young children. A doctor can confirm whether it is appropriate for your child’s age, weight, and medical history, and can advise on the correct dose and duration. Self‑medication, particularly repeated or high‑dose use, increases the risk of side effects and dosing errors.
Ibugesic Plus syrup is not suitable for all children. It should be avoided in children with known allergy to ibuprofen, paracetamol, aspirin, or other NSAIDs; those with a history of severe asthma triggered by NSAIDs; active or recurrent stomach ulcers or gastrointestinal bleeding; severe liver or kidney disease; or certain bleeding disorders. Age and weight restrictions may apply depending on the specific formulation. A pediatrician should always assess suitability in very young children or in those with chronic medical conditions.
Ibugesic Plus syrup may be prescribed by a doctor for short‑term relief of teething pain or toothache in children, provided the child’s age and weight are appropriate for the formulation. However, teething discomfort is often manageable with non‑drug measures, and persistent toothache may indicate dental problems that require evaluation by a dentist. Do not use the syrup repeatedly for dental pain without seeking professional dental and medical advice.
Common side effects can include mild stomach upset, nausea, vomiting, indigestion, or a feeling of discomfort in the abdomen. Some children may develop a mild skin rash or feel drowsy or restless. These effects are usually temporary. However, if your child develops breathing difficulty, wheezing, facial or tongue swelling, severe rash, blood in vomit or stools, unusual bruising, or yellowing of the eyes or skin, stop the medicine and seek urgent medical care.
You should not give any additional paracetamol or ibuprofen products together with Ibugesic Plus syrup unless a doctor has specifically instructed you to do so. Because Ibugesic Plus already contains both ibuprofen and paracetamol, adding other products with the same ingredients can easily lead to overdose, which may cause serious liver damage (from paracetamol) or kidney, stomach, and bleeding problems (from ibuprofen). Always check labels for active ingredients and consult a healthcare professional if you are unsure.
If you suspect that your child has received more than the prescribed amount or has accidentally ingested a large quantity of Ibugesic Plus syrup, seek medical attention or contact a poison control center immediately, even if the child appears well. Overdose may not cause immediate symptoms but can lead to serious liver damage, kidney injury, or gastrointestinal bleeding. Do not wait for symptoms such as vomiting, abdominal pain, drowsiness, or yellowing of the eyes to appear before seeking help.
Ibugesic Plus syrup is intended for short‑term use only. In most cases, it should not be used for more than a few days without medical review. If fever persists beyond the period advised by your doctor, or if pain continues or worsens, you should return to the healthcare provider for reassessment rather than continuing or increasing the dose. Long‑term or frequent use increases the risk of side effects, including stomach irritation, kidney problems, and liver injury.
Before giving Ibugesic Plus syrup, inform the doctor about your child’s full medical history, including any previous reactions to painkillers or fever medicines, asthma or wheezing, stomach ulcers or acidity, liver or kidney disease, bleeding disorders, or ongoing medications such as blood thinners, other NSAIDs, or anti‑seizure medicines. Ensure your child is adequately hydrated, especially if they have had vomiting or diarrhea. Use only the measuring device provided or a calibrated oral syringe to ensure accurate dosing, and never exceed the prescribed frequency or total daily amount.
