How IBUGESIC PLUS SUSPENSION 60 ML Works

• Ibuprofen reduces prostaglandins, chemical messengers involved in pain, inflammation and fever. It can also irritate the stomach lining and reduce blood flow to the kidneys in some situations.
• Paracetamol acts mainly in the central nervous system to reduce pain and fever. Taking too much paracetamol can cause serious liver injury. Since both ingredients are present, the total amount from all medicines must be considered by the prescriber.

Possible effects include stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, indigestion and loose stools. Ibuprofen can cause stomach ulceration or bleeding, kidney problems and allergic reactions. Paracetamol overdose can cause severe liver injury, sometimes before symptoms appear. Blood in vomit or stools, severe abdominal pain, reduced urine, facial swelling, breathing difficulty or suspected extra medicine needs urgent medical attention.

• If you miss a dose of IBUGESIC PLUS SUSPENSION, take it as soon as you remember, unless it is almost time for your next dose. In that case, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for the missed one.

• Keep the bottle tightly closed and out of children's reach. Follow the storage instructions printed on the current pack. Do not use the suspension after its expiry date.

• Measure with a marked device supplied for liquid medicine.
• Check all medicines for paracetamol and ibuprofen before combining products.
• Tell the clinician about dehydration, kidney or liver disease and stomach ulcers.
• Do not use another anti-inflammatory medicine unless the prescriber agrees.
• Seek urgent care for blood in vomit or stools, breathing difficulty or facial swelling.
• Ask for medical advice if fever or pain persists or worsens.

• Ibuprofen can irritate the stomach. Follow the meal instructions on the current Cipla pack and prescription. Avoid excessive alcohol, which can add to stomach irritation and bleeding risk.
