IBUKIND PLUS SYRUP 60 ML, like other medications, can cause side effects, although not everyone experiences them. Common side effects may include nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, heartburn, diarrhea, constipation, and indigestion. Less common side effects can include headache, dizziness, drowsiness, skin rash, itching, blurred vision, ringing in the ears (tinnitus), increased blood pressure, and fluid retention (edema). In rare cases, more serious side effects can occur, such as stomach ulcers, gastrointestinal bleeding, allergic reactions (including swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat, difficulty breathing), liver problems, kidney problems, and changes in blood cell counts. If you experience any unusual or severe symptoms while taking IBUKIND PLUS SYRUP 60 ML, it's important to consult your doctor immediately.

Gastrointestinal health
Use with cautionIbuprofen can increase the risk of gastrointestinal irritation, ulceration, and bleeding, particularly in older adults, those with a history of peptic ulcer disease, or those taking other ulcerogenic drugs such as corticosteroids or anticoagulants.
This syrup is primarily used to reduce fever and pain in children. It helps relieve pain and fever associated with cold, flu, or post-vaccination discomfort.
The main ingredients in this syrup are Ibuprofen and Paracetamol.
The dosage depends on the child's age and weight. It is important to follow the dosage instructions provided by the doctor.
Some common side effects may include stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea. If any serious side effects occur, contact a doctor immediately.
Store it at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep it out of reach of children.
It is better to give it after food to avoid stomach upset.
It is important to consult a doctor before giving it with other medications, as it may interact with some drugs.
Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, drowsiness, and in severe cases, liver damage. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor immediately.
No, do not use this syrup if the child is allergic to Ibuprofen.
Yes, it can help relieve mild to moderate pain, including toothache.
It usually takes about 30 minutes to 1 hour for it to start working.
Yes, it is safe for children if given in the dose directed by the doctor.
If the child vomits within 30 minutes of giving the dose, you can repeat the dose. If vomiting occurs after that, do not repeat the dose.
IBUKIND PLUS SYRUP contains both Ibuprofen and Paracetamol. If Calpol is not sufficient, you can use it, but it's best to consult a doctor.
If the fever does not subside after a few days, you should consult a doctor.
Ibukind Plus Syrup is used for short‑term relief of mild to moderate pain and for reducing fever. Typical indications include fever associated with infections such as common cold or flu‑like illnesses, post‑vaccination fever, headache, toothache, earache, musculoskeletal pain, and other painful conditions where a doctor considers a combination of ibuprofen and paracetamol appropriate. It provides symptomatic relief only and does not treat the underlying cause of the illness.
Ibukind Plus Syrup contains ibuprofen, a non‑steroidal anti‑inflammatory drug (NSAID), and paracetamol (acetaminophen), an analgesic and antipyretic. Ibuprofen reduces pain, inflammation, and fever by inhibiting cyclo‑oxygenase (COX) enzymes and decreasing prostaglandin synthesis. Paracetamol acts mainly in the central nervous system to raise the pain threshold and reduce fever by acting on the hypothalamic heat‑regulating center. Together, they provide additive pain relief and antipyretic effects.
Ibukind Plus Syrup is often formulated for pediatric use, but it should only be given to children on the advice of a pediatrician or according to the approved age and weight recommendations in the product leaflet. The dose in children is usually based on body weight and must not exceed the maximum daily limits for ibuprofen and paracetamol. Infants and very young children require particular caution, and in some age groups the product may be contraindicated. Caregivers should never guess the dose and should use the measuring device provided.
Ibukind Plus Syrup is intended for short‑term use only. Prolonged or frequent use of ibuprofen can increase the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding, kidney impairment, and cardiovascular events, while chronic or high‑dose use of paracetamol can cause serious liver damage. If pain or fever persists beyond the duration specified on the label or advised by the doctor, the patient should be reassessed rather than continuing the syrup long term.
Using Ibukind Plus Syrup together with other medicines that contain paracetamol, ibuprofen, or other NSAIDs is generally not recommended because it increases the risk of overdose and side effects. Accidental paracetamol overdose is a common cause of acute liver failure. Before taking any additional pain or fever medicine, check the ingredients and consult a healthcare professional to avoid duplicate therapy.
Commonly reported side effects of ibuprofen‑paracetamol combinations include nausea, vomiting, abdominal discomfort, indigestion, heartburn, mild diarrhea or constipation, headache, dizziness, and rash. Most are mild and transient. However, serious adverse effects such as gastrointestinal bleeding, severe allergic reactions, bronchospasm, liver injury, kidney impairment, and severe skin reactions can occur, especially with inappropriate dosing, prolonged use, or in susceptible individuals. Any unusual or severe symptom warrants immediate medical attention.
Ibukind Plus Syrup should generally be avoided in individuals with known allergy to ibuprofen, paracetamol, other NSAIDs, or any excipient in the formulation; a history of asthma, urticaria, or allergic‑type reactions after taking aspirin or other NSAIDs; active or recurrent peptic ulcer or gastrointestinal bleeding; severe liver or kidney impairment; severe heart failure; and in the third trimester of pregnancy due to ibuprofen‑related fetal and maternal risks. It should also be used cautiously or avoided in patients with uncontrolled hypertension, bleeding disorders, or chronic alcohol misuse, unless a doctor specifically advises otherwise.
Use of Ibukind Plus Syrup during pregnancy requires medical evaluation. Paracetamol is generally considered the first‑line antipyretic and analgesic in pregnancy when used at recommended doses. However, ibuprofen and other NSAIDs are usually avoided, particularly in the third trimester, because they can cause premature closure of the fetal ductus arteriosus, fetal renal impairment, oligohydramnios, and increased maternal bleeding risk. Therefore, Ibukind Plus Syrup is typically not recommended in late pregnancy and should only be used in earlier pregnancy if the potential benefit clearly outweighs the risks and under direct medical supervision.
Alcohol consumption should be avoided or kept to a minimum while taking Ibukind Plus Syrup. Alcohol can increase the risk of liver toxicity from paracetamol and may also enhance gastrointestinal irritation and bleeding risk associated with ibuprofen. In people with pre‑existing liver disease, alcohol use disorder, or those taking other hepatotoxic medicines, combining alcohol with this syrup can be particularly hazardous.
If Ibukind Plus Syrup is being taken on a regular schedule and a dose is missed, it can be given as soon as it is remembered, provided it is not almost time for the next scheduled dose. In that case, the missed dose should be skipped and the regular dosing schedule resumed. A double dose should not be given to make up for a missed one. Because this medicine is often used on an as‑needed basis for pain or fever, it may not always follow a strict schedule; in all cases, the total daily dose and minimum dosing intervals recommended by the doctor or product label must not be exceeded.
Overdose can occur from excessive intake of ibuprofen, paracetamol, or both. Early symptoms of paracetamol overdose may be nonspecific, such as nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, sweating, and malaise, followed by right upper abdominal pain, jaundice, confusion, and signs of liver failure after a delay. Ibuprofen overdose may cause nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, drowsiness, dizziness, headache, tinnitus, low blood pressure, metabolic acidosis, and, in severe cases, seizures or coma. Any suspected overdose, even if the person feels well, is a medical emergency and requires immediate evaluation, as timely treatment is critical to prevent serious liver or other organ damage.
