About ISONEPH 100 INJECTION 5 ML

ISONEPH 100 INJECTION 5 ML contains an active ingredient called Iron (III) Isomaltoside. It is part of a class of medications known as anti-anemic agents. This injection is primarily used to treat iron deficiency anemia in adults who cannot tolerate oral iron supplements or have not had success with them. Additionally, it is beneficial for individuals with chronic kidney disease who are on dialysis and unable to intake oral iron. However, due to insufficient data on its safety and effectiveness, it is not advised for people under the age of 18, including children and teenagers.
Do not use ISONEPH 100 INJECTION 5 ML if you have an allergy to Iron (III) Isomaltoside or any other ingredients in this medication. It's also contraindicated if the cause of anemia is unrelated to iron deficiency, such as hemolytic anemia. The injection should be avoided in cases of iron overload, impaired iron utilization, or if you have experienced severe allergic reactions to other injectable iron treatments or have active liver disease. Before starting this injection, inform your healthcare provider if you have a history of medication allergies, systemic lupus erythematosus, rheumatoid arthritis, severe asthma, eczema, any ongoing bacterial infection in your bloodstream, or reduced liver function.
