Mix the sachet with water, as directed by your healthcare provider. Do not use other liquids, such as fruit juices or milk, as they may interfere with the effectiveness of the K-HOLD SACHET 16 GM. The sachet must be shaken well before each use to ensure that the drug particles are evenly distributed throughout the liquid.
The role of K-HOLD SACHET 16 GM is that it can treat hyperkalemia to lower the level of potassium in the blood.
It is typically taken several times a day, with meals or as directed by your physician. This K-HOLD SACHET 16 GM should not be taken with other medications or supplements, as it can result in serious side effects.
K-HOLD SACHET 16 GM is used to treat hyperkalemia (increased amounts of potassium in the body). It works by removing excess potassium from the body.
Oral administration of K-HOLD SACHET 16 GM is contraindicated in neonates. This is because neonates have an immature gastrointestinal system and reduced gut motility, which can increase the risk of gastrointestinal complications such as intestinal obstruction and perforation.
It is important to avoid foods that are high in potassium such as Bananas, oranges, tomatoes, spinach, nuts, dark chocolates and salted foods, as they can interact with the medication and increase the risk of hyperkalemia.
It is available in strengths of 15 grams/60 mL and 30 grams/120 mL.
