In most cases, side effects are temporary and resolve as your body adapts to the medication. However, if any side effects persist or cause concern, it's important to seek medical advice. Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Consult a DoctorIf symptoms do not improve or worsen, seek medical attention promptly.
LEVOLIN SYRUP 100 ML works by widening the air passages in your lungs so that air can flow into your lungs more freely. For people with asthma, LEVOLIN SYRUP 100 ML helps to relieve symptoms such as coughing, wheezing and shortness of breath, particularly at night.
LEVOLIN SYRUP 100 ML should be taken in the dose and duration advised by your doctor. LEVOLIN SYRUP 100 ML can be taken with or without food, preferably at the same time each day to reduce the chances of a missed dose. However, it is advisable to take LEVOLIN SYRUP 100 ML just before bedtime with a glass of water.
If you forget a dose of LEVOLIN SYRUP 100 ML, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and take the next scheduled dose on the prescribed time. Do not double the dose to make up for the missed one as this may increase the chances of developing side effects.
Taking a higher than the recommended dose of LEVOLIN SYRUP 100 ML may cause seizures, chest pain, nervousness, headache, dry mouth, nausea, dizziness and lack of energy. High doses of LEVOLIN SYRUP 100 ML may also cause fast, irregular or pounding heartbeat, uncontrollable shaking of any part of the body and difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep. In any such case, seek immediate medical attention.
Both LEVOLIN SYRUP 100 ML and Albuterol belong to the same class of medicines. and are used for quick relief in symptoms of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) such as wheezing, shortness of breath and coughing. LEVOLIN SYRUP 100 ML contains the active form of Albuterol known as R-albuterol. On the other hand, Albuterol contains a mixture of equal amounts of R-albuterol (active form) and S-albuterol (inactive form of Albuterol). LEVOLIN SYRUP 100 ML, being the active form may have lesser side effects when compared to the inactive form.
Yes, it is considered safe, but its use depends on the severity of your heart problem. If you experience chest pain or any other symptom of worsening heart disease while taking LEVOLIN SYRUP 100 ML, seek immediate medical advice.
LEVOLIN SYRUP 100 ML may cause blood sugar levels to rise. Therefore, your doctor may adjust your dose of insulin or antidiabetic medicines. Keep a regular check on your blood glucose levels and do not miss any dose. Consult your doctor if you experience a sudden rise in blood sugar levels.
Yes, it could be due to LEVOLIN SYRUP 100 ML. Feeling shaky is a common side effect of LEVOLIN SYRUP 100 ML which usually goes away after some time. For headaches, drink plenty of water, get sufficient rest and avoid alcohol. Usually, headaches go away after a week. If they persist for a long time, contact your doctor.
No, you should not smoke while taking LEVOLIN SYRUP 100 ML. Smoking irritates the lungs. The medicine may make breathing more difficult, especially in patients who have asthma. Take advice from your doctor if you are finding it hard to avoid smoking.
Levolin syrup is used to relieve breathing difficulty caused by narrowed airways. It helps manage symptoms such as wheezing, coughing and shortness of breath in asthma and similar respiratory conditions.
The medicine usually starts working within a short time after intake. It relaxes airway muscles and improves airflow, making breathing easier during episodes of bronchospasm or airway tightening.
Yes, Levolin syrup is often prescribed for children. The dose depends on the child’s age and weight and should be given only under medical supervision.
Long term use is possible when prescribed by a doctor. Regular monitoring ensures the medicine remains effective and safe, especially in chronic respiratory conditions requiring ongoing management.
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember unless it is almost time for the next dose. Do not double the dose to make up for a missed one.
