Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them.

General usage and precautions
For external use onlyLivafin cream is intended strictly for external use on the skin. Do not apply it in the eyes, mouth, inside the nose, inside the vagina, or on mucous membranes.
LIVAFIN CREAM 30 GM contains amorolfine which is an antifungal medicine. It is used to treat fungal infections of the nails. It is applied once weekly on the affected finger or toenails. Sometimes your physician may ask you to apply it twice weekly. The affected areas must be cleaned and dried properly. Do not stop the treatment in between even if the symptoms heal. Your doctor will recommend the exact dose and duration of the treatment based on the type of fungal infection.
No, LIVAFIN CREAM 30 GM is not a steroid. It is a medicine which is used to kill a wide variety of infection-causing fungus. It is applied on the affected nails to treat fungal infections.
No, this medicine should not be used on other parts of the body like the eyes, oral cavity, or intravaginally. Its use should be restricted to only nails and skin. Before using the medicine consult the doctor and follow the instructions carefully.
Yes, the use of LIVAFIN CREAM 30 GM may cause allergic reactions, but the probability is unknown. Such allergic reaction is not very common and is likely to occur in only susceptible or sensitive individuals. Immediately contact your doctor if you experience such reactions.
No, LIVAFIN CREAM 30 GM should not be used in children and infants. This is because there is no evidence available to prove the safety of the medicine. Consult your doctor in case your kid develops nail or skin infections or has any nail changes.
Livafin cream is a topical antifungal medicine containing luliconazole. It is used to treat superficial fungal skin infections such as athlete’s foot (tinea pedis), jock itch (tinea cruris), and ringworm of the body (tinea corporis). It works by inhibiting the growth of dermatophyte fungi on the outer layers of the skin, helping to relieve symptoms like itching, redness, scaling, and discomfort.
Livafin cream contains luliconazole, an imidazole-class antifungal agent. It blocks the synthesis of ergosterol, a key component of the fungal cell membrane. Without adequate ergosterol, the fungal cell membrane becomes damaged and leaky, leading to inhibition of fungal growth and eventual death of the fungal cells. This targeted action helps clear the infection at the site of application.
Use Livafin cream only on the skin as directed by your doctor. Typically, the affected area should be gently washed, rinsed, and thoroughly dried. Apply a thin layer of the cream to the affected skin and a small surrounding area, then rub it in gently. Wash your hands after application unless your hands are the treated area. Do not cover the area with tight or occlusive dressings unless your doctor advises otherwise. Follow the prescribed schedule and duration; do not change it on your own.
Symptom relief such as reduction in itching or redness may begin within a few days of regular use, but complete clearance of the infection usually requires the full prescribed course, which can extend for several weeks depending on the site and severity of infection. Even if symptoms improve early, you should continue using Livafin cream for the entire duration recommended by your doctor to reduce the risk of recurrence.
Livafin cream is not routinely recommended for use on the face, and it must not be applied in or near the eyes. Facial skin is more sensitive and may be prone to irritation. If a fungal infection is suspected on the face, you should consult a dermatologist for an appropriate diagnosis and treatment plan. If the cream accidentally gets into the eyes, rinse thoroughly with plenty of clean water and seek medical advice if irritation persists.
Most people tolerate Livafin cream well. Common local side effects, when they occur, are usually mild and temporary. They may include burning or stinging sensation, itching, redness, dryness, irritation, or peeling at the application site. These effects often lessen as the skin adapts to treatment. If side effects are severe, spread beyond the treated area, or do not improve, you should contact your doctor for further assessment.
Data on the use of topical luliconazole in pregnant women are limited. Livafin cream should be used during pregnancy only if the potential benefit justifies any possible risk to the fetus, and this decision should be made by a doctor. If you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy, or think you may be pregnant, inform your healthcare provider before starting Livafin cream so that an appropriate treatment choice can be made.
The extent of absorption of luliconazole through the skin is low, but specific data in breastfeeding women are limited. Livafin cream should be used with caution during breastfeeding and only under medical supervision. It should not be applied on the breasts or areas that may come into direct contact with the infant’s mouth or skin. If you are breastfeeding, discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor before using this medicine.
Use of Livafin cream in children should follow a doctor’s recommendation. Safety and efficacy data may vary by age group, and young children can have more sensitive skin. A healthcare professional should confirm the diagnosis of fungal infection and determine whether Livafin cream is appropriate, as well as specify the duration and frequency of application for pediatric patients.
If you forget to apply a scheduled dose of Livafin cream, apply it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next application, skip the missed one and resume your regular schedule. Do not apply extra cream or use it more frequently to make up for a missed dose, as this does not improve effectiveness and may increase the risk of local irritation.
You should not stop using Livafin cream earlier than advised by your doctor, even if symptoms such as itching or redness improve. Fungal infections can persist beneath the surface of the skin after visible signs have lessened. Stopping treatment too soon may allow the infection to return. Complete the full prescribed course, and consult your doctor if symptoms persist or recur after finishing treatment.
Because Livafin cream is applied to the skin and systemic absorption is low, the risk of interactions with oral or injectable medicines is considered low. However, interactions with other topical products applied to the same area are possible, especially if they contain irritants or corticosteroids. Inform your doctor about all medicines, creams, ointments, or herbal products you are using so that overlapping or incompatible treatments on the same skin area can be avoided.
