Lomofen Plus tablet is generally used for the short‑term relief of acute diarrhoea and associated abdominal cramps. It helps reduce the frequency of loose stools and may provide symptomatic relief from gut spasms. However, it does not cure the underlying cause of diarrhoea, such as infection or food intolerance, and should only be used under medical supervision.
The exact Lomofen Plus tablet dose per day cannot be stated without referring to the specific product formulation and a doctor’s prescription. Different brands and countries may have different strengths and combinations of active ingredients. For safety, you must follow the dose written on your prescription or the instructions provided by your doctor or pharmacist. Never exceed the maximum daily dose mentioned on the package insert, and do not use it for longer than advised.
No. You should not self‑determine the dose of Lomofen Plus based on online information because the composition and strength vary by manufacturer and region. Incorrect dosing can lead to serious side effects, including severe constipation, abdominal distension, drowsiness, or breathing problems. Always consult a registered medical practitioner and follow the exact dose and duration prescribed for you.
Some components that may be present in Lomofen Plus can be metabolised by the liver. In people with normal liver function, short‑term use at prescribed doses is usually considered acceptable. However, in patients with pre‑existing liver disease, dose adjustment, close monitoring, or complete avoidance may be necessary. If you have hepatitis, cirrhosis, fatty liver disease, or abnormal liver tests, inform your doctor before taking Lomofen Plus so they can decide if it is appropriate and what dose, if any, is safe.
In individuals with normal kidney function, short‑term use of Lomofen Plus at prescribed doses is generally considered acceptable. However, in patients with chronic kidney disease or reduced kidney function, the handling of some ingredients and their metabolites may be altered. Your doctor may adjust the dose, limit the duration, or choose an alternative medicine. Always inform your healthcare provider about any kidney problems or dialysis before starting Lomofen Plus.
Use of Lomofen Plus during pregnancy should only occur if clearly needed and prescribed by a doctor after weighing potential benefits and risks. Safety data in pregnancy may be limited for some of its components, and certain anti‑diarrhoeal or antispasmodic agents are avoided in pregnant women, especially in the first trimester. If you are pregnant, planning pregnancy, or suspect you might be pregnant, do not take Lomofen Plus on your own. Consult your obstetrician or physician for a safer, pregnancy‑appropriate treatment plan.
Some ingredients in Lomofen Plus may pass into breast milk in small amounts or may affect the nursing infant indirectly, for example by causing drowsiness or altering gut motility. Because of this, Lomofen Plus should not be used during breastfeeding unless your doctor specifically recommends it and considers it necessary. If prescribed, use the lowest effective dose for the shortest possible time and monitor the baby for unusual sleepiness, poor feeding, or constipation. Always inform your doctor that you are breastfeeding before starting this medicine.
Lomofen Plus may cause side effects such as drowsiness, dizziness, blurred vision, or reduced alertness in some people, depending on its exact composition and your individual sensitivity. Until you know how the medicine affects you, avoid driving, operating heavy machinery, or performing tasks that require full concentration. If you feel sleepy, light‑headed, or less alert after taking a dose, do not drive and speak to your doctor about adjusting or changing the medicine.
Alcohol should generally be avoided while taking Lomofen Plus. Alcohol can increase drowsiness, dizziness, and the risk of side effects on the nervous system and liver. It may also worsen dehydration associated with diarrhoea. Combining alcohol with medicines that act on the gut or brain can be unpredictable and unsafe. For your safety and better recovery, do not consume alcoholic beverages while using Lomofen Plus and for some time after the last dose, as advised by your doctor.
If you have a known allergy to any component that may be present in Lomofen Plus, or if you have previously developed rash, itching, swelling, breathing difficulty, or severe dizziness after taking anti‑diarrhoeal or antispasmodic medicines, inform your doctor before starting Lomofen Plus. Do not take this medicine if you suspect or know you are allergic to it. Seek immediate medical help if you develop signs of an allergic reaction such as hives, swelling of the face, lips, or tongue, or trouble breathing after a dose.
If your diarrhoea does not improve within 24–48 hours of using Lomofen Plus as prescribed, or if it worsens, stop taking the medicine and seek medical attention promptly. Persistent diarrhoea, high fever, blood or mucus in stools, severe abdominal pain, or signs of dehydration such as extreme thirst, reduced urination, or dizziness require urgent evaluation. Do not increase the dose per day on your own, and do not continue the medicine for longer than advised without medical review.
