Pregnancy
UNSAFEIt is unsafe to use LUPRODEX DEPOT 3.75MG INJECTION because it is contraindicated in pregnant women. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to get pregnant before taking this treatment.
LUPRODEX DEPOT 3.75MG INJECTION decreases testosterone or estrogen production, depending on the treated condition. This helps to slow the growth of cancer cells, reduce the size of uterine fibroids, and alleviate the symptoms of endometriosis and early onset of puberty.
LUPRODEX DEPOT 3.75MG INJECTION should not be used by pregnant and breastfeeding women, people who are allergic to the medication, or people with a history of osteoporosis or bone fractures. It should also be used cautiously in people with a past of depression or mental illness.
If you miss a dose of LUPRODEX DEPOT 3.75MG INJECTION, contact your healthcare provider as soon as possible to schedule the missed dose. Do not double up on doses to make up for a missed one.
Weight gain is not a common side effect of LUPRODEX DEPOT 3.75MG INJECTION, but it may occur in some people.
LUPRODEX DEPOT 3.75MG INJECTION reduces estrogen production and helps relieve endometriosis symptoms by inhibiting tissue growth outside the uterus.
During breast cancer treatment, regular checkups every three months (often with an aromatase inhibitor) are recommended. Do not receive this injection if you have abnormal vaginal bleeding. If you have diabetes, monitor your blood sugar regularly. Inform your doctor before starting if you are still having periods.
Consult your doctor immediately if you experience persistent headache (even after pain relief), vision problems, or buzzing/ringing in the ear.
The active ingredient is LEUPROLIDE ACETATE.
LUPRODEX DEPOT 3.75MG INJECTION is used to treat certain hormone-sensitive cancers, such as prostate cancer in men and breast cancer in women.
It works by reducing the levels of hormones like testosterone and estrogen, which can stimulate the growth of hormone-sensitive cancer cells.
