Most side effects are temporary and disappear as your body adapts to the medication. However, if these side effects continue or cause concern, please consult your doctor. Common side effects of MELOSET 3MG TABLET 10'S include:

Allergies
Contraindicated in known allergyDo not take Meloset if you are known to be allergic to melatonin or any of the excipients in the tablet.
Jet lag and sleeplessness are treated with meloset 3 mg tablets. Additionally, it helps you control your sleep-wake cycle.
With Meloset 3mg, there have been no reports of habit-forming behaviours.
Meloset frequently causes adverse effects such headaches, drowsiness, dizziness, nausea, and stomach pain. These signs are typically not severe and go away on their own. Additionally, not everyone has to have the same experiences.
Meloset tablet contains melatonin and is primarily used to help manage sleep-related problems such as difficulty falling asleep, poor sleep quality, or disturbed sleep patterns. It may also be used to help adjust the body clock in conditions like jet lag or shift-work–related sleep disturbances, under medical supervision.
Meloset provides melatonin, a hormone that helps regulate the sleep–wake cycle. By increasing melatonin levels in the evening or at bedtime, it signals to the brain that it is time to sleep, helping to reduce the time it takes to fall asleep and supporting a more regular sleep pattern. It does not act as a strong sedative but rather as a regulator of circadian rhythm.
Meloset is generally recommended for short-term or intermittent use unless a doctor advises otherwise. Long-term, unsupervised use is not recommended because persistent sleep problems may indicate an underlying medical, psychiatric, or lifestyle issue that needs proper evaluation and treatment. Always follow your doctor’s advice regarding duration of use.
Safety data on melatonin use in pregnancy are limited. Because of the lack of well-controlled studies in pregnant women, Meloset should not be used during pregnancy unless a doctor clearly considers it necessary and the potential benefits outweigh the possible risks. Pregnant women with sleep problems should consult their obstetrician before using any sleep aid.
Melatonin can pass into breast milk, and its effects on a nursing infant are not fully understood. Therefore, Meloset is generally not recommended during breastfeeding unless specifically advised by a doctor. If you are a breastfeeding mother with sleep difficulties, discuss safer alternatives and non-drug strategies with your healthcare provider.
Melatonin is metabolized in the liver, so people with liver impairment may have altered handling of the drug. If you have liver disease or abnormal liver function tests, you should use Meloset only under strict medical supervision, if at all. Your doctor may decide to avoid it or use it with caution after assessing your liver status and other medications.
Data on melatonin use in patients with significant kidney impairment are limited. If you have chronic kidney disease or are on dialysis, you should consult your nephrologist or treating physician before using Meloset. They will decide whether it is appropriate for you and monitor for any potential side effects or interactions.
Meloset can cause drowsiness, dizziness, or reduced alertness in some people. You should avoid driving, operating heavy machinery, or performing tasks that require full concentration for several hours after taking the tablet, especially when you are new to the medicine or until you know how it affects you. If you feel sleepy or lightheaded, do not drive.
Alcohol can interfere with sleep quality and may increase the sedative or drowsy effects of melatonin. It is advisable to avoid or minimize alcohol consumption when using Meloset. Combining alcohol with Meloset may worsen coordination, alertness, and judgment, and can reduce the overall benefit of the sleep treatment.
If you have ever had an allergic reaction to melatonin or any component of Meloset, you should not take this medicine. Signs of an allergic reaction may include rash, itching, swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat, severe dizziness, or difficulty breathing. If any of these occur after taking Meloset, stop the medicine immediately and seek urgent medical attention.
Use of Meloset in children should only be under specialist medical supervision, as dosing and safety considerations differ from adults and long-term effects are not fully known. In elderly patients, Meloset may be used with caution, as they may be more sensitive to side effects such as dizziness or confusion. A doctor should evaluate the need, potential benefits, and risks before prescribing it to these age groups.
Commonly reported side effects of melatonin-containing tablets like Meloset include headache, drowsiness, dizziness, nausea, stomach discomfort, and sometimes vivid dreams. These effects are usually mild and temporary. If side effects are severe, persistent, or associated with mood changes, confusion, or allergic symptoms, you should contact your doctor promptly.
