MICROPENAM 1GM INJECTION works by inhibiting the growth of bacteria and preventing them from multiplying. It does this by interfering with bacterial cell wall synthesis, which is necessary for their survival.
Certain precautions and warnings exist to consider that MICROPENAM 1GM INJECTION is excreted mainly through the kidneys. Dose adjustment may be necessary for patients with impaired kidney function, and careful monitoring is recommended.
MICROPENAM 1GM INJECTION treats infections caused by susceptible bacteria, including complicated intra-abdominal infections, skin structure infections, community-acquired pneumonia, and urinary tract infections.
If you experience diarrhea during the treatment with MICROPENAM 1GM INJECTION, staying hydrated by drinking plenty of fluids is important. Your doctor may use over-the-counter or prescription medications to help manage your diarrhea. If your diarrhea is severe, you should contact your doctor.
Common side effects of MICROPENAM 1GM INJECTION may include diarrhea, nausea, headache, rash, itching, or pain at the injection site. Serious allergic reactions are rare but possible. It's important to seek medical emergency if you experience severe side effects.
There are no known interactions of MICROPENAM 1GM INJECTION with other drugs.
Overuse or misuse of antibiotics can contribute to the development of antibiotic-resistant bacteria. It is important to use this drug only as prescribed and directed by your physician.
