Most side effects are temporary and generally disappear as your body adapts to the medication. However, if these effects continue or cause you concern, please seek advice from your doctor.

Allergies
Contraindicated in known hypersensitivityDo not use Momoz cream if you are known to be allergic to mometasone, other corticosteroids, or any component of the formulation.
MOMOZ CREAM 30 GM is neither an antifungal nor an antibiotic. It is a corticosteroid which is used to reduce inflammation (redness, swelling) in various conditions. It is available as an ointment, cream and lotion for external application. It is also available as a nasal spray or powder for inhalation.
You should use MOMOZ CREAM 30 GM as advised by your doctor, especially in children. Using more than the recommended dose or even extending the duration may cause hormonal imbalance in your child. As a result, the child may develop puffiness or rounding of face and there could be delay in growth and development. Therefore, consult the doctor before trying any dose adjustments.
MOMOZ CREAM 30 GM is a steroid medicine which is used on the skin to relieve inflammatory and itchy skin diseases. It also helps in reducing redness, scaling and swelling associated with these conditions. Do not take this medicine without consulting your doctor.
MOMOZ CREAM 30 GM should be gently rubbed into the affected skin twice daily for a maximum of about 2 weeks. In case, you do not find any considerable improvement within 2 weeks, consult your doctor for reevaluation.
No, MOMOZ CREAM 30 GM should not be applied on broken skin. It is a steroid medicine which works by suppressing the immune system. It may cause varied side effects which can delay the healing process. Moreover, steroids are also known to cause skin atrophy which might worsen the associated condition.
Yes, MOMOZ CREAM 30 GM may cause local skin reactions like burning, itching, irritation, dryness and hypopigmentation in sensitive individuals, although it is rare. Therefore, it is important to inform your doctor if you have any history of allergy or reaction before you start therapy with this medicine. In some cases, the reason for the allergic reaction could be the added ingredients with the drug. In case of any reaction, stop the medication immediately and inform the doctor.
MOMOZ CREAM 30 GM should not be used on the face. Do not use the medication for longer periods of time than you have been advised. Do not apply a bandage or dressing to the area being treated, as this will increase absorption of the preparation and increase the risk of side-effects. This medicine should be used only when advised by the doctor. It should not be given to other people even if their condition appears to be the same.
Momoz cream is generally used to relieve inflammation, redness, and itching in certain skin conditions such as eczema, atopic dermatitis, allergic or irritant contact dermatitis, and some forms of psoriasis, when a doctor decides that a topical corticosteroid is appropriate. It is not a general moisturizer and should only be used for conditions diagnosed by a healthcare professional.
Apply a thin layer of Momoz cream to the affected area of skin, usually once or as directed by your doctor, and gently rub it in until it disappears. Use it only on clean, dry skin and avoid contact with the eyes, mouth, and inside the nose or genitals unless specifically instructed. Do not cover the treated area with airtight dressings or bandages unless your doctor tells you to, as this can increase absorption and side effects.
Momoz cream can sometimes be prescribed for short‑term use on the face for specific conditions, but facial skin is thin and more prone to steroid side effects such as thinning, visible blood vessels, and perioral dermatitis. You should only use Momoz cream on your face if it has been explicitly recommended by your doctor, and strictly follow the duration and frequency they advise.
Use of Momoz cream during pregnancy should be based on a careful assessment of benefits and risks by your doctor. Topical steroids are generally preferred over oral steroids when needed, but they should still be used in the lowest effective strength, on the smallest area of skin, and for the shortest possible time. If you are pregnant, planning pregnancy, or think you might be pregnant, discuss the use of Momoz cream with your healthcare provider before starting or continuing treatment.
If you are breastfeeding, you should consult your doctor before using Momoz cream. When a topical steroid is considered necessary, it is usually recommended to apply it to the smallest area possible and avoid prolonged use. Do not apply Momoz cream directly to the breasts or nipple area to prevent accidental ingestion by the infant. If application near the breast is unavoidable, clean the area thoroughly before breastfeeding.
Because Momoz cream is applied to the skin, systemic absorption is usually low when used correctly on limited areas for short periods. However, if large areas are treated, the skin is damaged, or occlusive dressings are used, more of the steroid can enter the bloodstream. In people with significant liver or kidney impairment, this could theoretically increase the risk of systemic steroid effects. Such patients should use Momoz cream only under medical supervision and exactly as prescribed.
There is no well‑established direct interaction between topical Momoz cream and moderate alcohol consumption, because the medicine mainly acts locally on the skin. However, heavy alcohol use can worsen some skin conditions and overall health. If you have liver disease or other medical issues, or are taking other medicines, you should ask your doctor whether alcohol is advisable in your situation.
Momoz cream is applied to the skin and is not expected to impair alertness, coordination, or vision when used as directed. It should not affect your ability to drive, cycle, or operate machinery. If you experience unusual side effects such as severe headache, visual changes, or dizziness that you suspect may be related to treatment, seek medical advice and avoid driving until you feel well.
If you have ever had an allergic reaction to mometasone, other corticosteroids, or any ingredient in Momoz cream, you should not use this medicine. Signs of an allergic reaction can include worsening redness, intense itching, swelling, blistering, or rash at the application site, and rarely, generalized symptoms such as facial swelling or difficulty breathing. Stop using the cream immediately and seek urgent medical attention if you suspect a serious allergy.
Children can be more sensitive to the effects of topical corticosteroids, including potential suppression of normal hormone production if used excessively or for long periods. Momoz cream in children should only be used under the guidance of a pediatrician or dermatologist, on limited areas of skin, and for the shortest duration necessary. Parents should not use leftover cream or increase the frequency of application without medical advice.
Prolonged use of Momoz cream, especially on large areas, under occlusive dressings, or on delicate skin such as the face or skin folds, can increase the risk of side effects. These may include skin thinning, stretch marks, easy bruising, visible blood vessels, delayed wound healing, and, rarely, systemic steroid effects such as hormonal changes. Always follow your doctor’s instructions and return for review if you feel you need ongoing treatment.
