About MONOVISC INJECTION

MONOVISC INJECTION contains Sodium Hyaluronate, a substance very similar to the natural fluid found in healthy joints. This special fluid helps your joints move smoothly by providing lubrication and acting like a cushion or shock absorber.
This medicine is specifically used to help relieve knee pain caused by osteoarthritis (OA). Osteoarthritis is a common condition where the cartilage in your knee wears down, leading to pain and stiffness. MONOVISC INJECTION is typically considered when other common treatments, such as simple pain medications or physical therapy, have not provided sufficient relief. By supplementing the joint's natural fluid, it aims to improve joint function and reduce discomfort. The goal is often to provide pain relief that can last for several months.
You should not use MONOVISC INJECTION if you are allergic to Sodium Hyaluronate or any other ingredients in the injection.
