It is a combination of amoxicillin and clavulanic acid. Amoxicillin stops the growth of bacteria, while clavulanic acid prevents amoxicillin from being inactivated.
The dosage depends on the child's weight and the severity of the infection. Please follow the dosage prescribed by the doctor.
Common side effects may include diarrhea, vomiting, stomach pain, and skin rash.
It is recommended to take it with food to avoid stomach upset.
Store it at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture.
Some children may be allergic to it. Contact a doctor immediately if allergic symptoms appear.
Give the missed dose as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with the regular schedule.
Yes, it can interact with certain medications. Therefore, it is important to inform the doctor about all the medications the child is taking.
No, it is only effective against bacterial infections and not viral infections.
The medication should be continued for the duration prescribed by the doctor for complete eradication of the infection, even if symptoms improve.
In some cases, it may cause temporary staining of the teeth, but it is not permanent.
If the child vomits within 30 minutes of taking the dose, repeat the dose. If vomiting persists, consult a doctor.
Always consult a doctor before giving Moxclav BD 228.5mg Oral Suspension with other antibiotics, as it may cause drug interactions.
